Srilankan Airlines Awards 2014 – Elegant Travels wins Outstanding Sales Performance 2012/2013

2014 Srilankan Airlines award ceremony held at held at the Grange St Pauls Hotel, London on the 24th April 2014, Elegant Travels received the Outstanding Sales Performance for 2012/2013.

The awards ceremony held annually recognize outstanding achievement in passenger, tour and leisure sales by travel agents and tour operators.

Awards were presented at a grand dinner dance ceremony in the presence of Srilankan Airlines CEO, KapilaChandrasena - CEO, Chanaka Olagama- Head of Service Deliver, JeremySoertsz – Manager UK and Ireland, and IndunilWijekoon - Sales Manager UK and Ireland.

ATOL Licence for 2014/2015 Granted To Elegant Travels By CAA

ATOL is a financial protection scheme managed by the Civil Aviation Authority ("CAA"). All UK major tour operators such as Elegant Travels is required by law to hold a licence called an Air Travel Organiser's Licence ("ATOL"), which is granted after the company, has met the CAA's licensing requirements. In the event of Elegant Travels failure, the ATOL scheme ensures customers who paid and contracted with the ATOL holder for certain bookings do not lose the money paid over or get stranded abroad.

The 2014/2015 annual licence was granted to Elegant Travels on 17th April by Dave Law on behalf of CAA.

Qatar Airways grant worldwide Tour Operator contract to Elegant Travels

Elegant Travels now hold Qatar Airways tour operator contract to issue Qatar Airways tickets. This means another 5* airline choice for Elegant Travels customers for packaged holidays and tours. This also opens up new holiday destinations and great value for Elegant Travels customers.

Flying to over 125 leisure and business destinations across six different continents, Qatar Airways is one of the fastest growing airlines in the world. Qatar Airways is a much-garlanded airline (the world's Best Airline 2011 and 2012). The national airline of Qatar and it is one of the few airlines given a five-star quality rating by online aviation watchdog Skytrax. Furthermore, has one of the youngest fleets of any flag carrier - an average age of four.

Currently, Qatar Airways provide flights from London (Gatwick and Heathrow) and Manchester to Qatar’s capital Doha, from where they offer onward connections throughout the Middle East and Asia.
